I was born and raised in Southern California where you can comfortably exercise outdoors 365 days a year! At a very young age, I played competitive soccer, and in high school I competed in cross-country, soccer, and track & field, and loved every minute of it.  Track & field was my life for a short time at UC Irvine, but I eventually decided to focus on my studies instead.

After graduating UCI, I attended law school, which led to a lot of long, hard hours studying, and then eventually practicing law. But along the way, I never stopped working out and running. It was my life line, my sanity. After running the Chicago marathon in 1999, I decided I wanted to live there! This decision was fortuitous as it led to meeting my husband and spending several fantastic years working and living in downtown Chicago.

We landed here in Austin about 11 years ago and have since had 3 children. I have been a part of the running and soccer community here, and I was an age group winner in the Austin Fittest competition for two years in a row. When I found Heroes CrossFit I was instantly hooked! This sport was about the whole body, it was about challenging yourself in every aspect of fitness and that was so appealing to me.  On top of that, it was fun!  CrossFit challenges me every time I walk through the door, and I'm always looking to get better and learn more, and isn't that what life is about?

I love helping people challenge themselves and push themselves to do things they never thought they'd do, and have fun while doing it!   I am so proud to be a part of the Heroes community.
